Saint Joseph

Dear Peter,

How's life? I want to tell you about a typical feast we celebrate every year at my school. It's the Saint Joseph feast on March 19th .

In the morning there is a procession from our school to the church where we take food for the poor and then we come back to school and visit all the classrooms to see the tables. In fact we make a lot of decorations,invitations cards and the menu to put on the table. Our parents cook a lot of typical dishes to prepare a lunch buffet in the classrooms and in the school hall. We invite the headmaster and all the teachers and we all have lunch together.

The main aim of our course has been that of using new technology in the classroom in order to motivate students and get them involved in challenging activities.
Computer has mainly been used to stimulate and develop students writing skills.
Moreover printed materials have been used to reinforce students listening, speaking and reading skills, so they have written simple letters and postcards where they have told about their everyday life.

Why a blog?

A blog is a digital diary online. It's very important both teachers and students. Teachers can store teaching equipment in a blog and students can use it to improve their skill.
The main aim is to use computer and Internet in order to develop students abilities.
At school students don't like reading and writing so a blog is a way to develop these skills.
Students have used a computer and different kinds of copies. At the beginning students have been involved in activities that have improved their listening, speaking and reading skills; then they have written simple letters where they have told everyday.
